Altiplano

Alpacha
Altaplano

High Andes

Nasca to Cusco - 450

We had a three hundred mile trip over the Andes today. We reached 15,000 feet. Our highest ride so far. The high plains are all pasture land, The indigenous people herd either goats, sheep, llamas, alpacha or a mixture. Often they use the road as their sidewalk. We had to stop several times to let sheep herds cross. Once I stopped for a herd of alpachas. I'll ride to Cusco tommorrow if I can get my bike fixed. It is cutting out, dropping revs and stalling.
