Morning in the Desert

Earl Scruggs' Foggy Mountain Breakdown may not be the best choice for this photo display, but he is as American as these rocks.

Today was a rest day in Moab. It seems to be a town created to serve the tourists that flock to rocks here. I rode to Arches National Park for sunrise photos this morning,washed my bike and rested.

It seems you are having a heck of a time riding your Suzuki while we all here just follow your tier tracks and wish were with you and the Brits. We are all busy here with PDFs and the budget work and missing you very much. Enjoy all the moments and give my regards to all the lads.

This motoquest blog is intended to chronicle the ramblings of my 5 month, 22,000 mile motorcycle journey from Prudhoe Bay, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina. That's as far as the road goes in North America to the tip of South America.

In order to minimize the frivolousness of this endeavor the trip will be used to fund research for Multiple Sclerosis (MS). MS researchers are on the verge of finding a cure. With your help this chronic and debilitating disease could be conquered in the next decade. For those interested in making a donation based on the number of miles completed here is what to do.
If I complete the entire 22,000 miles and you have pledged:
$0.001/mile your donation would be $22.00
$0.002/mile your donation would be $44.00, and so on.
Pledge an amount you are comfortable with, make a $10.00 initial donation, and then sometime in mid-December I’ll report how much of the trip was completed. You can then go back to the link above and donate any balance due based on your pledged amount per mile.
