Panama/Sin City

A park downtown
Skyscrapers in the busy finance area.

From my hotel window.
I was quite surprised when we crossed the high bridge over the bay into Panama City. It is a gleeming modern megalopolis. Skyscrapers, dozens of hi-rise buildings going up, and commerce everywhere.

I went to a salon this afternoon for a cut. My half hour n the chair cost $3.15. It looks like it cost twice that. We're in a 5-Star hotel in the downtown area. Restaurants, shops, clubs, bars, you name it. Everywhere I went cab drivers stopped and asked me what I wanted. 'Girls, clubs or drugs?' 'I'm going back to my hotel to sleep', I told one cabby. 'You don't sleep in Panama City', he said.
